"tempfile is deprecated" messages

Problem Description

Not urgent, but noise in the report I get weekly from

/etc/cron.weekly/sympl-ftp
/etc/cron.weekly/sympl-mail
/etc/cron.weekly/sympl-web

I’ve had the same problem in one of my own scripts. Evidently this is a change from Debian 10 to 11, and mktemp is being phased out.
