Setup Reverse DNS/PTR

Dear All,

I’ve never had to worry about reverse DNS /PTR records in the past - my old ISP adopted responsibility.

I’m hosting and externally registered domain on Sympl with Mythic hosting my dns. The DMARC, DKIM and SPF records look fine but MX toolbox is complaining about the lack of reverse DNS/PTR records.

How do I implement a “Reverse DNS/PTR” record that will satisfy the above. Any salient tips and pointers would be greatly appreciated.

You want My Account - Mythic Beasts - you can set reverse DNS there for any IPs allocated to you.

You’ll probably want to set the rDNS for both the IPv4 and IPv6 addresses to the same as your server hostname, and make sure there’s matching forward DNS.
