Relay-from-hosts

Dear All,

No rolling of the eyes, I’m a newbie!

I need to allow another specific host to relay mail through a

recently setup Mythic VM running Sympl 12. Use of a relay-from-hosts file

doesn’t appear to be documented anywhere. Can someone post a how to ?

Looking at another Sympl box, it has the following in
/etc/exim4/sympl.d/00-main/20-host-lists:

hostlist relay_from_hosts = 127.0.0.1 : ::::1 : @ : ${if
exists{ETC_DIR/exim4/relay_from_hosts}{net-iplsearch;ETC_DIR/exim4/relay_from_hosts}}

So, assuming your install has that, it should just be a case of creating a file
called /etc/exim4/relay_from_hosts and adding the IPs/subnets there.

Creation of the file /etc/exim4/relay_from_hosts and simply adding the IPs within that file worked a treat.
