Idiot-proof offsite backups?

The appeal of Borg is that it allows you to store far more versions for a given file size. It stores the deltas of changed fragments of files.

I have backup2l archives that date back less than a month and take up 65.5GB The Borg backup of the same data on the same server goes back well over a year and takes up 85GB.

Borg isn’t just better: it’s better by an order of magnitude, and easier to restore from.

I forgot to mention that the Borg backups are every two or three hours, not just every day, yet the space needed is still small.
